Information to be provided about Cookies
This website, owned by Mediksan srls, the data controller (art. 4, paragraph 7, GDPR: “the natural or legal person, public authority, service or other body which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data”) pursuant to and for the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) pursuant to and for the purposes of the GDPR, uses cookies and similar technologies.
This information provides guidance on how cookies are used and how they can be controlled by the user.
These tools will be used in conjunction with the other information that Mediksan srls holds in its archives (art. 4, paragraph 6, GDPR: “any structured set of personal data accessible according to specified criteria, regardless of whether this set is centralized, decentralized or functionally or geographically distributed”), collected directly or indirectly, and which allows customizing communications and services to the user’s interests and preferences.

Use of this Web site (and any other site operated by us) implies your acceptance of the use of cookies (and similar technologies) in accordance with the information provided in this document.

What are cookies
Cookies are information stored on the hard disk of the user’s terminal and which are sent by the user’s browser to a Web server and which relate to network usage.
As a result, they allow us to know the services, the sites frequented and the options that, while surfing the net, have been manifested.
In other words, cookies are small files, containing letters and numbers, that are downloaded to the user’s computer or mobile device when visiting a Web site.
The cookies are then sent back to the original site on each subsequent visit, or to another Web site that recognizes these cookies.
Cookies are useful because they allow a Web site to recognize a user’s device.

This information is, therefore, not provided spontaneously and directly, but leaves a trace of the user’s Web surfing.

Cookies perform several functions and allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences and, more generally, improving your experience.
They can also help ensure that the advertisements shown while browsing are of interest to you and that the marketing activities carried out are in accordance with your preferences, avoiding promotional initiatives that are unwelcome or not in line with your needs.

While browsing on a site, the user may also receive on his terminal equipment cookies that are sent by different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”), on which some elements (e.g.: images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site that the same is visiting may reside.
There may be, therefore, in this respect:

  1. Direct cookies, sent directly from a site to the user’s device.
  2. Third-party cookies, originating from a third party but sent on our behalf.
This site uses third-party cookies to facilitate analysis of our Web site and its use (as described below).

In addition, depending on the purpose for which cookies are used, they can be distinguished into:

  1. Technical cookies: are used to enable the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network or to deliver a service expressly requested by the user.
They are not used for any other purpose.
In the category of technical cookies, the use of which does not require the user’s consent, we distinguish:

    1. Browsing or session cookies: they ensure normal navigation and use of the website (e.g.: to authenticate and access restricted areas).
The use of these cookies (which are not stored persistently on the user’s device and are automatically deleted when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site.
    2. Analytics cookies: whether they are used only to collect information in aggregate form, about the number of users visiting the site and how they visit the site.
    3. Functionality cookies: allow the user to navigate based on a selected set of criteria (e.g., language or services you have signed up for) to improve the service provided to you.
    4. Profiling cookies: these are aimed at creating profiles related to the user and used to send targeted promotional messages according to the preferences expressed while browsing the web.
These cookies can only be used for these purposes with the user’s consent.

Cookie-like technologies
As with many websites, we use cookie-like technologies, including local shared objects (also known as “flash cookies”), browser history analysis, browser fingerprinting, and pixel tags (also known as “web beacons”).
These technologies provide us and our suppliers with information about how the site and its content are used by visitors, and allow us to identify whether your computer or device has visited our or other sites in the past.

Our servers automatically collect the user’s IP address; thus, we may associate that address with the user’s domain name or the name of their Internet Provider.
We may also collect some “clickstream data” related to your use of the site.
Clickstream data includes, for example, information related to the user’s computer or device, browser and operating system and its settings, the page it came from, the pages and content viewed or clicked on during the visit as well as the timing and manner of such operations, the items downloaded, the site visited subsequent to ours, and any search terms entered on our site or on a redirect site.

How to control or delete cookies
You have the right to choose whether or not to accept cookies.
Below is some information on how to exercise this right.
However, please note that if you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to use all the features of the site and, if you have consented to profiling at other times, the communications you receive may be irrelevant to your interests.
Also note that if you choose to manage your cookie preferences, our cookie management tool will still set a technical cookie on your device to allow us to execute your preferences.
Deleting or removing cookies from the user device will also result in the removal of the preference cookie; these choices will, therefore, need to be made again.

You can block cookies using the selection links in the table above.
Alternatively, you can change your browser settings so that cookies cannot be stored on your device.
To do this, you must follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually found in the “Help,” “Tools or “Edit” menus).
Deactivating a cookie or category of cookies does not delete them from the browser.
Therefore, this must be done directly in the browser.

If you want to delete, disable, or restore cookies on your computer, you can use the cookie configuration pages provided by any third-party content providers, or through your browser options.

However, as of that time, we will stop using the disabled cookies to collect additional information.
